Technical Information
Students enrolled in virtual academies receive a computer system, software, and accessories loaned at no cost, as well as reimbursement for an Internet connection. *
Most of the K12® Virtual Academies computers follow these technical specs:
- Operating System: Windows 2000 or Windows XP Professional
- Speed: 650 MHz or better
- RAM: 128MB or more
- Disk space: 4GB or more
- CD-ROM: 32x or more
- Monitor: 15-inch display
- Video: SVGA (800 x 600 pixel resolution) or better
- Audio: 16-bit sound card or better
- Network Adapter
- Modem: 56k
- Microsoft Office Suite®
- McAfee Managed VirusScan® Anti-virus
- Adobe® Acrobat® Reader® 6
- Macromedia Flash Player™ 6
- QuickTime® 6
