How to Enroll
Technical Information
Students enrolled in virtual academies receive a computer system, software, and accessories loaned at no cost, as well as reimbursement for an Internet connection. *

Most of the K12® Virtual Academies computers follow these technical specs:
  • Operating System: Windows 2000 or Windows XP Professional
  • Speed: 650 MHz or better
  • RAM: 128MB or more
  • Disk space: 4GB or more
  • CD-ROM: 32x or more
  • Monitor: 15-inch display
  • Video: SVGA (800 x 600 pixel resolution) or better
  • Audio: 16-bit sound card or better
  • Network Adapter
  • Modem: 56k
  • Microsoft Office Suite®
  • McAfee Managed VirusScan® Anti-virus
  • Adobe® Acrobat® Reader® 6
  • Macromedia Flash Player™ 6
  • QuickTime® 6
