Special Education
ARVS students receive a free and appropriate education under the federal Individuals with Disabilities in Education Act (IDEA). Special education services are provided by each student's local school district. The ARVS Director of Special Education will assist parents in accessing and coordinating these services with their local school districts. School districts are responsible for notifying parents and ARVS staff of all Individual Education Plan (IEP) meetings. Parents should notify their teacher and the ARVS Director of Special Education before any scheduled conference, at the time of any lapse of services, or with any questions or concerns.
